This two-story addition in Takoma Park included a new primary master suite, mudroom, home office, front porch, screened-in porch and deck in the backyard.

This homeowner insisted on a soaking tub in a very small space and we delivered! We even included an expertly-crafted backlit horizontal niche with space for candles, soap bars and shampoo.

The open floor plan lends itself to entertaining and the transmission of light through a gorgeous rounded front window. Increased storage space with innovative cabinetry, island and countertops.

The owners of this uniquely modern home in the historic district of Takoma Park sought to update their first-floor bathroom. Surrounded with a full wall of glass blocks, the bathroom featured a tremendous amount of natural light. 

The highlight of this bathroom renovation and what made the client so happy was the transformation of a standard swing door into a unique barn door. The door included stained glass accents to coordinate with other stained glass in the room.

Zen Renovations worked with this homeowner on a second project, following their primary bathroom remodel. Our goal was to create a flexible living space for the growing family. In the spacious basement, we added a workout room, bedroom, full bathroom, and ample living room area. A focal point of the renovation is the wall-to-wall wet bar. To extend the entertainment space, we built a flagstone patio and pergola in the backyard.

We were up for the challenge with this kitchen design + build renovation project. The homeowner wanted only part of the kitchen remodeled – just enough to be able to see their gardens and to facelift parts of the kitchen.

We loved this project because we had a chance to really lift the homeowners’ spirits. They were forced to renovate their beloved kitchen because of severe water damage. The refrigerator leaked while the homeowner was out of town. Not only was the damage extensive, we needed to design a space they loved as much as the original.

A galley kitchen can be the most efficient layout for cooking if done correctly. That’s what we loved about this project! With floor to ceiling cabinetry, spacious countertop areas and proper lighting, we maximized the footprint and made the perfect “work triangle” from sink to stove to refrigerator.
