Spa Day, Every Day

Redesigned within the home’s original footprint, this project transformed a couple’s primary bath from a collection of disconnected, builder-grade elements into a cohesive, spa-like retreat. For years, the space lacked the comfort and functionality needed for daily use, constrained by a bulky jetted tub and a framed shower that blocked both the flow and the light. By removing these structural barriers, we established a long, clean sightline that runs the length of the room, accompained by a new walk-in shower positioned directly beneath an existing skylight. The renovation is defined by a language of vertical rhythm—using ribbed tile, linear light fixtures, and tall cabinetry to create a quiet architectural pattern that draws the eye upward. These vertical lines organize the room, contributing to a sense of height and continuity that feels both calm and intentional. To maximize the footprint, we utilized a floating vanity and a pocket door conversion through a load-bearing wall, clearing the floor and reclaiming valuable square footage. The result is a luminous environment where light and texture coexist to turn a once-constricting layout into a sensory-conscious sanctuary.
