Black, White, & Stainless
Before the renovation, a central wall acted as a physical and social barrier that left the kitchen isolated from the rest of the home. The homeowner felt "trapped behind that wall," separated from the energy of the house. We removed this partition to reorient the floor plan, transforming a cramped workspace into an expansive environment where the kitchen finally joins the conversation. The new layout centers on a high-contrast palette of crisp white cabinetry and deep black accents, grounded by the warmth of the original hardwood floors. By reconfiguring the footprint, we integrated the expanded counter space and storage required for a multi-person kitchen. The renovation balances these ambitious structural changes with a quiet, intuitive clarity that feels as though the house was always intended to breathe this way.
