Our Design+Build Process

How We Work
We believe the process matters as much as the finished space. That's why we've built a path that stays grounded, clear, and centered on how you experience your renovation at every step. These four stages of the design+build process are designed to provide the clarity and structure you need to feel supported and engaged while your home takes shape.
Ready to talk through your remodel? Schedule a complimentary consultation to get a clear sense of what's possible.
Initial Consultation: How We Plan Your Home Renovation
We start by listening to how you live in your home. Our remodeling process begins with a 30-minute call to understand your goals and confirm we're a fit. If it feels right, we schedule an on-site visit to walk your space, take measurements, and explore what's possible within your budget. For kitchen renovations, we may offer a complimentary 3D design mock-up using our photorealistic Chief Architect system—letting you experience the layout, light, and flow before signing a contract.

Design
Your designer guides you through each decision, keeping budget and function aligned. We sign a design agreement that establishes scope and estimated budget. Then, your designer walks you through two phases:
Phase 1: Schematic Layout
We establish design objectives, review structural considerations, and finalize the plan that works for how you use your space.
Phase 2: Detailed Finish Selections
Together, we choose cabinetry, countertops, tile, fixtures, lighting, and paint—curated to keep decisions clear and on track.
Crystal Cabinet Works Partnership
Every renovation includes semi- or fully custom cabinetry through our Crystal Cabinet Works partnership, designed specifically for your space and backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Build: What To Expect During A Home Renovation
Once design is finalized, we sign a construction contract and the build begins. Your dedicated project manager becomes your single point of contact, overseeing permitting, scheduling, material deliveries, and daily communication with tradespeople and inspectors. They're on-site regularly, guiding progress through demolition, framing, mechanical systems, tilework, cabinetry installation, and finishing details. You receive proactive updates each week on what's happening and what to expect next. When decisions arise, they bring you solutions with clear guidance.

Completion & Warranty
We walk the space together to ensure everything functions as intended and remain available for ongoing support. Every renovation comes with a five-year workmanship warranty and a minimum one-year labor guarantee, along with Crystal Cabinet Works' limited lifetime warranty.

“Communication was huge for me, and I always felt completely up to date throughout the project. It honestly wasn’t a stressful experience at all—I have nothing to complain about.”
