I started my career at DC's Latin American Youth Center, leading a construction training program for high school students who had left traditional education while they prepared for their GEDs. That experience shaped everything about how I work. People come first. The craft follows.

I've been renovating homes in the DC area for 30 years. I started Zen seven years ago because I kept seeing the same thing. Even when a project turned out beautifully, homeowners had spent months feeling uncertain about costs, or like they weren't really part of the process. That bothered me.

The quality of the work matters deeply to me. But what I'm really paying attention to is whether you feel calm and clear at every step, from our first conversation through the final walkthrough.
